We use single action truss rods on all Macmull Guitars. That means that the truss rod is activated inside the cavity by turning it clockwise, but works as a passive "releaser" when turned counterclockwise.
The result is better neck vibration capacities and a softer neck when bending; the neck has an increased range of motion when acted upon by the strings bending, but not in a way that will alter the pitch.
